Golf is a game which originated in Europe and the only one which doesn’t require a standardized playing area. This game is known to be quite relaxing and a form of light exercise. Golf games are based on the simple idea of striking a ball with a golf club into a hole with the least number of tries as possible. The player with the lowest score wins. All courses generally have either 9 or 18 holes. In the 9-hole course, two consecutive rounds are usually played. The number of holes in golf games is always predetermined to avoid confusion. Also, you can take a maximum of 14 clubs in your golf bag.

There are many ways of playing golf games but the two most common ones are- stroke play and match play. In stroke play, a tally of the scores of every individual player is kept and the lowest score holder will win the game. In a match play, running tallies are not kept. Each hole stands for one point and the player who gets the ball in the predetermined number of holes the most, wins the game.
